About
What Killed by AI is
Killed by AI is a curated, source-backed registry of products, services, and jobs rendered obsolete by artificial intelligence — layoffs, product shutdowns, service sunsets, B2B SaaS seat contractions, and cases of AI regret. Every entry records what died, when, its category, a short obituary, and a link to the original source.
How records are verified
Leads are gathered from the global and Vietnamese markets and checked against Tier-1 news sources (Bloomberg, Reuters, TechCrunch, WSJ, FT, CNBC and peers; reputable Vietnamese outlets for VN-market events). Candidates are de-duplicated against a shared crawl log and pass a human review gate before publication. Attribution to AI is required — restructurings without an AI cause are deliberately excluded.
Use the data
Open, machine-readable datasets
The registry and its supporting datasets are published as JSON and updated continuously. They are free to use for editorial and research purposes — see terms below.
/content/registry.json— canonical index of every record (id, title, category, dateDied, sourceUrl)/data/layoffs.json— monthly layoff totals with AI-attributed share/data/tech-stack.json— tech-stack exposure scores (US + Vietnam)/data/regret.json— AI-regret / rehiring metrics/data/saas_seat_contraction.json— B2B SaaS seat/revenue contraction/llms.txt— machine-readable site + data guide for AI agents
A cleaned dataset and an insights notebook are also mirrored on Kaggle: dataset · notebook.
